Viking/Anglo Saxon Medicine

Suitable for: Key Stages 1 and 2

Duration: 1 Hour 

Become an Anglo-Saxon or Viking First Aid responder in this interactive workshop. 

After a quick class roleplay during which children will learn about historic attitudes to disease and medicine, the children will be split into small groups to practice some ancient First Aid techniques. They will be asked to identify which aspects of the treatment would be effective, and which elements might still be used today.

  • Describe the importance for humans of exercise, eating the right amounts different types of food and hygiene.
